The Eskdale Inn is a beautiful pub in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors. We offer two cosy and recently renovated rooms which are both available as twins or doubles. Each room has ensuite bathrooms with electric showers, tea and coffee making facilities, Televisions with built in DVD players and good quality bedding. We offer a range of breakfast options including full English, cereals and locally sourced free range eggs which can be cooked to your liking all at a time to suit you.

The pub itself is a lovely Victorian building with a cosy bar and dining area each with a wood burning stove we also have a pool room where guests can enjoy pub games including pool, darts and dominos. The beer garden runs along the side of the river Esk and is the perfect place to enjoy a drink in the summer.

We serve food daily from 12pm until 8.30pm (8pm on Sundays) and pride ourselves on our home cooked traditional food and are known locally for our large portions. Our cellar is always stocked with well looked after cask ales as well as a range of wine,spirits and soft drinks for guests to enjoy.

Castleton itself is one of the largest villages in the Esk Valley and is home to a local shop,bank,hairdressers,post office and tea rooms the train station is just a 2 minute walk from the pub making day trips to the famous seaside town of Whitby a must. The pub is based on the Coast to Coast route and we are able to offer a secure bike storage space for cyclists and we also welcome well behaved dogs for those who wish to explore the Esk Valley by foot!

We are just a ten minute drive from popular wedding venue Danby Castle making us perfectly placed to accommodate wedding guests.
